The Bank Treasurer guides the overall direction, coordination, and operation of the organization's treasury department. Develops the strategic vision and direction for the treasury function. Responsible for investment portfolio and liquidity management, as well as directing and managing treasury activities including financial forecasting and mitigating risk. Ensures financial transactions, policies, and procedures fulfill the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Responsible for the corporate banking, credit, and investment functions.

  • Manages the investment portfolio to provide a balance between liquidity and earnings. Must possess advanced knowledge and understanding of bank qualified securities and requires the ability to develop and manage a portfolio that will provide a satisfactory risk-based return which includes developing the investment strategy, investment policy, asset allocation model and executing purchases and sales
  • Responsible for overseeing the monitoring and reporting of ANBTX's liquidity position and assessing and developing strategies to manage, liquidity risk in accordance with policy requirements, including liquidity stress testing, liquidity stress test scenarios, funding concentrations, peer comparisons, etc.
  • Responsible for the management of correspondent banking relationships
  • Manage the regular review and ensure compliance with all liquidity risk policies, procedures, and processes and ensure compliance with liquidity regulations
  • Maintain active dialogue with various internal and external constituents, such as Enterprise Risk Division, Internal Audit, and regulators on questions related to assumptions and methodologies around liquidity and interest rate risk management
  • Tasked with funding the liability side of the balance sheet in an optimal manner which requires a sophisticated understanding of deposit products and prices, demands a significant level of understanding of the wholesale funding markets and responsible for deposit pricing
  • Manages the Public Fund business of the bank which includes developing competitive bids to win the business and monitoring and managing the business to maximize profitability
  • Responsible for sophisticated finance and ALCO models and the development of strategies based on the results of the models
  • Provides insights into loan pricing and participates with the commercial lending staff to accurately price loans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, economics, mathematics or related area
  • 6 years of Liquidity/Funding or Treasury experience, as well as, 6 years experience in financial modeling in the banking industry
  • Preferred experience with public fund business

Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with strong experience using Excel; including pivot tables, graphs, and charts
  • Ability to manage a team of direct reports
  • Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
