Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Safety : Fosters a safety culture and the implements safety policies and training in compliance with the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work related injuries.
  • Inventory Control : Plans, orders, executes and manages storage of critical raw materials in accordance with supplier selections and guidelines provided by Sourcing Operations using SAP/MRP system to achieve the Master Schedule and Service requirements. Oversees Lean raw material replenishment and storage on the production floor, including initial set up, daily usage estimates, trigger points, and reorder quantities. Coordinates with other facilities to forecast any remanufactured product requirements.
  • Strategy : Deploys strategic objectives into annual goals and individual KPIs across the organization by working with teams to set appropriate targets to build daily and monthly routines to manage the business.
  • Product Lifecycle : Plans for material life cycle management and eliminates obsolete inventory items while working to reduce waste through the value chain. Develops and monitors compliance with requirements related to the introduction of new products.
  • Management : Develops employees through recruitment, training, coaching and establishing goals and objectives.
  • Problem solving culture : Develops a culture that is tied to Daily Management by leveraging tools, consulting skills and change management processes.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required .

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in materials management, business, management or related degree.
  • APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
  • Experience implementing inventory control systems (Kanban) in a manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the integrated functions of materials management in a manufacturing environment that has embraced lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.
  • A minimum of 3 years in managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution, reducing sourcing complexity, and talent development.
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with visual and daily management systems.

Fully onsite based
