We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Kubernetes-based container platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions to support our growing portfolio of cloud-native applications. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize Kubernetes-based container platform solutions to meet the scalability, performance, and security requirements of our cloud-native applications.
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of core platform components, including cluster orchestration, networking, storage, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements, design solutions, and drive technical initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the Kubernetes platform, container runtime, and underlying infrastructure.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance and support to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to the container platform
  • Provide platform support via on-call rotation as required
  • Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
  • 2+ years of building self-managed Kubernetes-based container platforms in a Production environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, components, and ecosystem, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployment, configuration, and operation.
  • Solid understanding of container networking, storage, security, and observability principles, with the ability to design and implement scalable and resilient solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as python, bash, Golang, or equivalent for automation and tooling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with OpenShift
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and services such as docker, podman, Prometheus, Grafana, Helm
  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator are a plus.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
