The Airline Transport Pilot Program Manager will be responsible for managing and teaching both flight and ground courses related to FAA Part 121 flight operations. Specifically, this position will serve as the FAA Approved Chief Flight Instructor for the Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program under FAR 141. In addition, this position will work with Aeronautical Science faculty to integrate airline training in advanced flight simulation for all Aeronautical Science students. This position will be responsible for designing and developing training materials, curriculum, and instructional programs for flight training operations. This position will collaborate with subject matter experts, flight instructors, and other stakeholders to ensure that training materials are effective, engaging, and aligned with the needs of the flight department and regulatory requirements. This position also includes assisting the Department Chairman, providing leadership and support to the department Chairman, and collaborating with other staff and faculty members to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with an airplane category multiengine class rating is required. At least two years of air carrier experience as a PIC in operations under * 91.1053(a)(2)(i) or * 135.243(a)(1), or as a PIC or SIC under part 121.

Ten years of experience in aviation operations, with five years in a management or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, safety guidelines, and other industry standards related to flight training operations. Knowledge of instructional design methods, such as ADDIE, SAM, and other industry-standard methods. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
