We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll processes for our organization using both the Workday and ADP payroll systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for a growing workforce of 1200+ exempt and non-exempt employees via Workday and ADP system.

  • Track and manage liens, garnishments, and all other special payroll deductions.

  • Analyze and review payroll/time and attendance data; handle quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy with minimal errors

  • Identify and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies, working closely with HR and the Accounting team.

  • Investigate and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings.

  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations for both Workday and ADP systems.

  • Ensure compliance in all payroll processes and generate reports and documentation as required for audits and compliance reviews.

  • Audit and reconcile biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll and tax reports, including W-2 processing, filing, and government reporting as needed.

  • Performs outbound and inbound integrations reviews of Workday/ADP Payroll systems.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as HR and Accounting on process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a third-party payroll system, including multi state payroll processing and data management.

  • Experience with complex payroll states; California, New York, and Pennsylvania is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience with Workday Payroll highly preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and other payroll-related software.

  • Proven knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and mathematic skills.

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
