Job Summary:
As our Walsworth - Marceline Human Resources Business Partner, you will use Human Resources knowledge, skills and business acumen to lead recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and support other HR-related functions at our Walsworth - Marceline print production facility which houses approximately 330 production and production support team members.
This salaried, exempt position is a 100% on-site, office-based role with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. The Executive Vice President of Human Resources oversees the Marceline HRBP and our Corporate Human Resources team supports the Marceline HRBP within the safety, training and benefits functions.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit, interview and onboard hourly production and production support employees
- Lead weekly employee orientations
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for employee relations questions and support
- Represent Walsworth at community outreaches, job fairs and school/college events (some travel required)
- Serve as a liason amongst employees, production leadership and our Safety and Benefits Specialists
- Lead plant tours as needed for new hires and plant visitors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn the basics of print production and related terminology and clearly communicate print processes
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals, departments and company leadership
- Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and confidentiality
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Teams Outlook and Windows based databases
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources a related field (strongly preferred) OR Associate degree in Human Resources or related field (required)
- Four years experience in Human Resources responsibilities (preferred)
- SHRM, HRCI or related HR certification (preferred)
- Experience in a print, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred)
- Prior usage of Paycom or similar human resource information systems (HRIS) software (preferred)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check required
