Job Summary

The Director, Supply Chain Management oversees critical supplier relationship management and contract management processes to ensure performance improvement and alignment with TD's corporate objectives. Director will focus on framing a path that will enable transformative supply changes to deliver value for internal business partners across all lines of business. Develop and implement improved strategic sourcing policies to drive successful change and improvements in cost, quality and service.

Essential Duties
    Establish a strategic supply chain and operation vision to support continuous year over year growth.
  • Manage and develop the supply network to increase coverage and support long-term scalability.
  • Prioritize and execute an evolving portfolio of strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost reduction and ensure capacity and supply continuity.
  • Establishes and maintains measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities to include, but not limited to: Supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financials (AP) performance and material shortage elimination.
  • Collaborates with TD Leaders to understand demand and supplier trends and analyzes financial information related to total cost of ownership to identify and realize cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and facilitate relationships with supplier leadership to ensure supplier accountability for performance goals and commitments.
  • Conduct strategic business reviews with vendors to assess risk, performance, cost, quality & delivery to develop short and long range plans to improve sourcing cost and vendor performance.
  • Interface between vendors and TD on developments in organization or changes in the market conditions that might affect demand for vendor's products or services; improving efficiency and reducing the risk of excess capacity or shortages.
  • Works to establish standards for new business referrals to vendors and from vendors. Schedules and executes periodic evaluations to ensure vendors are adhering to pricing contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain and strengthen strategic partnerships and sourcing agreements. Establish a repeatable playbook for sourcing and maintaining vendor relationships that is aligned with TD's goals and areas of focus.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts reflecting the results of sourcing initiatives including achievement of key terms.
  • Conduct market research, create estimates/forecasts, and identify cost reduction (or risk mitigation) strategies.
  • Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory.
  • Facilitates strategic partnerships and associated rebate strategies to increase TD's overall profitability
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • APICS (CPIM or CIRM) certification is preferred.
  • 8+ years experience required with 2+ years at Sr. Manager or Director level preferred
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Advance ability to collaborate and negotiate.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of negotiation strategies and extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrates business strategy into day-to-day delivery.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
