Job Description
Job Summary

Serve as an internal consultant to faculty and staff to help conceptualize, design, develop, and in some instances, deliver and assess high-quality, face-to-face, blended, and online courses, workshops, or programs. Partner with colleagues across the College to develop and implement comprehensive and coordinated programs, curricula, systems, or support for transfer and workforce faculty members and staff.

Essential Duties

Works with subject matter experts to identify and design faculty-specific training and development needs, including the redesign of courses, curricula, or training materials.

Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates multi-modal training and development opportunities (e.g., individual or group consultations; online engagement), and instructional materials for a variety of instructional practices (based on College needs).

Provides support for UT and WFD faculty through design/development initiatives and programs.

When possible, provides support for Student Success and Community initiatives through design/development initiatives and programs.

Collaborates with Engaged Learning Fellows and High-Impact coordinators/staff on design,training, and development needs associated with their programs.

When possible, collaborates with Schools/departments on the delivery of instructional design services.

Participates in ongoing professional development to support the instructional design mission.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field.

Three years experience in ID methodologies, course- and curriculum design (including learning outcomes development and curriculum alignment).

3 years knowledge of pedagogy and effective teaching practices in all instructional modalities.

Knowledge of culturally competent components of curriculum and program design.

Ability to perform responsibilities on one's own initiative and with general supervision.

Commitment to lifelong learning and a willingness to prioritize professional development.

Ability to work indoors and sit for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience teaching in higher education, including blended and online formats.

QM training.
