Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing Accounts Payable invoices out of our Corporate Office in New Hampton, IA. The ideal candidate is a detail and deadline-oriented individual who excels in the technical and functional aspects of accounts payable with a strong background in Microsoft Excel. This is a full-time position that reports to the Accounts Payable Lead and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Understand general ledger coding structures and job costing
  • Knowledge of state sales tax and use tax
  • Communicate with vendors and managers in a professional and confidential manner
  • Scan, attach, and validate invoices
  • Code and process invoices
  • Meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks promptly
Position Requirements:
  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-directed and motivated to exceed expectations
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well within a team and also independently
  • Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy
