Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a 2nd Shift Machine Operatorto join us at our diverse team in Freeport, IL. Operates and maintain setups of conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.

  • Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes, and quality guidelines

  • Setting up, operating, and dismantling of unit assembly and subassembly workstations.

  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility, and assignments.

  • Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
