Hours:Approximately 80% clinical, 20% administrative Clinic is open from 7am-7pm M-->Th, 7-->5:30 F. Required to work two evenings to close, on non-consecutive nights. Seeking a therapist with experience treating both outpatient orthopedic and neurological conditions, chronic pain, and certification in lymphedema therapy is a bonus.

What You Will Do:

Fill the clinical responsibilities of a Physical Therapist as well as lead the daily workflow of the team and act as a liaison between clinical staff and the manager in a designated area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying a patient caseload that is 80% of the expectation for full time staff therapist.
  • Applies principles of cultural competence, professional conduct, safety and "Just Culture".
  • Apply time management principles throughout each shift in order to meet the department's and organization's efficiency goals.
  • Apply appropriate infectious disease control principles at all times.
  • Receives and interprets referrals for physical therapy. Clarifies and/or adjusts by collaborating directly with referring practitioners. Records phone/verbal orders per ProHealth Care policies & procedures.
  • Evaluate each patient by reviewing his/her medical history, conducting an assessment of the patient's functional ability and mobility along with any related impairments. Identifies any precautions and/or contraindications to specific physical therapy interventions.
  • Establish a physical therapy plan of care that includes PT interventions, duration of care, and frequency of visits. The plan also outlines patient centered and functional goals. Uses current best practice information and sound clinical judgment.
  • Collaborates with other care providers to establish an interdisciplinary care plan when appropriate.
  • Reassess each patient's condition at each visit. Modifies the PT plan of care based on reassessment findings.
  • Determine when discharge is appropriate and facilitates discharge from PT service.
  • Document all PT care provided following ProHealth Care policies& procedures.
  • Determine appropriate charges for each patient visit following ProHealth Care policies& procedures. Assures that clinical documentation supports charges that are processed.
  • Supervise support staff in the delivery of PT services following regulatory and professional standards.
  • Accept assignments at various locations within the department/service when necessary.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher.
  • Current State of WI Physical Therapist licensure.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • At least 1 year of practicing therapy experience preferred.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience preferred.
