General Summary
Supervise unloading of barges, loading of trucks, plant security, safety and terminal maintenance. Perform some managerial duties in the absence of the manager.
Essential Job Functions
Qualify with the U.S. Coast Guard as "Person in Charge" of receiving petroleum products by barge into terminal storage.
Maintain compliance for barge unloading with the U.S. Coast Guard and OSHA.
Supervise barge unloading into the terminal storage.
Maintain compliance for safety in the daily terminal operations.
Supervise loading of trucks and operations of truck loading facility. Train new drivers.
Perform maintenance and supervise extended maintenance (tank cleaning, tank repairs, new construction, etc.), reporting to manager for daily operations.
Train other personnel needed in terminal operations.
Perform daily housekeeping throughout the entire terminal operation.
Perform some managerial duties in the absence of the manager.
Assist with all compliance inspections in the terminal operations.
Maintain 40 hrs. HAZ MAT technician level training
Take actual inventory on a daily and end of month basis.
In the absence of the manager, responsible for plant safety and security
Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years of experience as an assistant supervisor, a background in plant maintenance and safety
Requirement
40 hours HAZ MAT technician level training
Work Environment
Job functions are performed in an office environment
While traveling may have contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions

Frequently stand, walk, sit, twist back and neck
