Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Institute Director is responsible for the overall administration, c, development, and operations of the Rehabilitation Institute. Ensures staff are providing up to date best practice care to meet all defined CMS quality standards... Responsible for all staff management including performance reviews, hiring, firing, and corrective action. Works with referral liaison to develop and ensure implementation of the rehab marketing plan. Effectively handles the financial responsibilities of the rehab unit and ensures profitability. Consistently attends all mandated meetings, diligently completes all necessary outcome documentation, and effectively communicates findings with both the rehabilitation team and the C-Suite, while ensuring thorough completion of all required documentation essential for the rehabilitation unit.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hiring, firing, mentoring, and corrective action of staff.

  • Responsible for completing annual performance reviews and making sure each staff member completes their required CEU's and competency training.
  • Responsible for submitting operational and capital budget based on rehab's needs and growth of the rehab program.

  • Ensure established productivity targets are met and the rehab is staffed based

  • Ensures the rehab unit is safe for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Measure, analyze, and evaluate all aspects of the rehab program and be able to identify and remediate issues in real-time.

  • Attend and actively participate in all hospital required meetings and committees.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSMS, Associate, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy or Master's degree in Speech Therapy required.
  • Current valid Oklahoma licensure as an OTD, DPT, PTA, COTA, or SLP-CCC required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • De-escalation training (TEAM) required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 1 to 3 years clinical and supervisory experience required.
  • A thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing is required.
  • Typing and computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office application preferred.
