Job Summary | The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for a Veterinary Technician position to work directly with the ER clinicians and rotating intern doctors to help facilitate quality client care and patient flow through the IMC, ICU, and ER. This is a monthly rotating swing shift position. Minimum Qualifications | Depending upon a combination of education and experience, the finalist selected for this position will be hired as a Veterinary Technician - Inpatient and assigned levels I, II, or III. Level I:Requires an Associates degree in Animal Science or related scientific field. Level II:Requires an Associates degree in Animal Science or related scientific field plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Level III:Requires an Associates degree in Animal Science or related scientific field plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Substitutions allowed for Education: Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed. Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
