This position is on-site in Charlotte, North Carolina and a qualified candidate must be local to the area or be open to relocation to Charlotte.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Configure Splunk to collect client infrastructure metrics and logs
  • Onboard SQL and other middleware component metrics and logs
  • Onboard application observability metrics related to performance, end-user metrics, synthetics, and logs
  • Configure Splunk ITSI for event correlation, redundancy, glass tables, service analyzers, critical metrics, etc
  • Configure alerts and dashboards based on client requirements
  • Lead all aspects of the implementation and management of Splunk infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance
  • Craft and deploy Splunk solutions for supervising and analyzing financial systems improving operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with finance teams to understand their data analysis needs and tailor Splunk dashboards and reports accordingly
  • Ensure the security of the Splunk infrastructure by implementing standard methodologies and compliance with financial regulations
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize Splunks functionality within the finance domain
  • Provide expert mentorship on Splunk ITSI for service intelligence helping to predict and prevent issues before they impact financial operations
  • Lead training sessions for the finance team on using Splunk for real-time data insights and improving decision-making processes
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in Splunk technology and finance industry trends to recommend improvements
  • Fix and resolve sophisticated issues within the Splunk environment ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations
Position Qualifications:
  • At least 8 to 11 years of work experience
  • Required skills: Splunk Cloud/Enterprise, Splunk Observability Cloud, and Ansible
  • Must have extensive experience with Splunk, Splunk Admin, and Splunk IT validated through previous successful projects
  • Solid grasp of financial systems and processes with a proven record in the Finance & Accounting domain
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills capable of optimally collaborating with both technical teams and financial stakeholders
  • A dedication to continuous learning and improvement in both technical and domain-specific areas
  • Ability to detail processes and procedures clearly and accurately for future reference and training purposes
  • Experience in system audits and compliance with financial regulations is helpful
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 05/24/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $43,900 to $109,200 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
