Aon is seeking a Cyber Broker.

Are you seeking an opportunity to be a part of our growing, full-service CyFi team by brokering strategic approaches to cyber policy placements?

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Cyber Risk, within our hybrid virtual environment in our New York Office.

As a Cyber Broker, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President or Team Leader.

What the day will look like:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Cyber/E&O insurance marketplace and our team's products and services
  • Demonstrate ability to renew a placement independently
  • Own all aspects of client service for your assigned book of business and new business opportunities with oversight from senior staff members if needed
  • Compile Renewal Strategy document inclusive of prior year's renewal highlights, program overview, benchmarking, and analytics, current market update, program diagnostic, renewal timeline and ensure it is tailored to the specifics of that client's industry and exposure
  • Capture renewal submission materials from client, consolidate, and re-format that information if vital, and provide submission to markets with the oversight as needed by senior staff
  • Secure primary and excess quotes from underwriters; applying effective underwriting relationships to improve broking results
  • Diligently check quotes, binders, and policies and seek corrections from underwriters; primary quote(s) should be reviewed with senior staff member
  • Compile Renewal Proposal document and include renewal highlights, expiring program, proposed program, program changes, and any coverage improvements
  • Provide broking status and continuous support and service to clients during entire broking process and entire period of engagement by client
  • Work in an Aon United fashion to cross-sell Cyber Solutions products and services
  • Deepen effective relationships with underwriters
  • Proactively develop and complete a pipeline strategy for new business
  • Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking process and client service process
  • Understand the cause of E&O and avoid and adopt practices to reduce exposure
  • Submit bind order to market and secure all binders; ensure all binders are finalized and accurate, with no subjectivities and no binder expiration period, where possible
  • Secure and review all policies within 30 days of binding

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial brokering and/or underwriting
  • Active P&C license, if not licensed, obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce a plus
  • Strong ability to communicate via email and phone

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
