Job Description

Job Summary:

Manages the daily implementation of out-come driven Adolescent & Holistic Health Initiatives

Programming with a focus on Teen Pregnancy Prevention. Responsible for recruiting the

sites, coordinating the schedules at the sites, and working with the appropriate Club staff at site.

Responsible for facilitating programming at sites and modeling for other educators.

Grant funded: Temporary position, continuation of employment is contingent upon renewal grant.

Responsibilities:

  • Trains Educators, reviews materials for fidelity, age appropriateness, medical accuracy, and inclusivity as well as facilitate evidence-based curriculum.

  • Assists in coordinating parent meeting programs and annual youth events.

  • Work effectively with club staff and community partners to ensure program deliverables are met in a high quality and timely manner.

  • Manages the volunteers according to the policies and procedures developed by BGCGM (Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee).

  • Maintains accurate documentation of program implementation and prepares timely reports as needed.

  • Inspects program supplies and facilitates replacement of supplies to assure are fully stocked with necessary tools/resources.

  • Implements program events to recruit new participants, reward existing frequent attendees, and provide community networking opportunities with other youth sharing programs.

  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with other team members, school staff, and community service providers.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Greater Milwaukee related networks, maintain community visibility and collaborative relationships.

  • Organization and assists with site visits.

  • Maintain a positive relationship with local neighborhood associations, youth serving agencies, and related Core Area subject networks.

  • Assist in program evaluation; ensure measurement tools are used according to the needs of the funding agencies.

  • Collect, compile, and submit data for reporting purposes monthly.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports as requested.

  • Must meet all deadlines.

  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to ensure proper and timely communication.

  • Must participate in required training by the Club, County, State and/or funders.

  • Participates in continuing education opportunities.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services or other related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience public speaking, teaching/grant facilitation, and experience and comfort level working with representatives from agencies, community-based organizations, and youth.

  • At least two years of program management and implementation experience.

  • At least two years of proven experience in delivery of youth work and youth work led programming for young people between the ages of 4-18.

  • CPR Certification (Adult, Child, and Infant) preferred or attend and successfully complete certification within first six months of employment.

Skills:

  • Elevated level of creativity and problem-solving ability. Demonstrated examples of managing through crisis.

  • Basic computer literacy and ability to utilize Excel and agency software for tracking budgets and attendance. Ability to learn and utilize modern technologies and apply technology to communication, organization, and other key job tasks.

  • Ability to inspire and empower youth as they participate in programs that address both the needs and interest of the members served.

  • Must have a valid WI driver's license, good driving record, and meets state required automobile insurance minimums.
