Kurz Wind, a division of Kurz Industrial Solutions, is a leading aftermarket parts provider for the wind industry.  We partner with wind farms to provide premier solutions and services to keep turbines running with OEM and ungraded components.

Role Mission: 
As an Account Manager, your main focus will be to grow and develop our existing accounts by creating long-term relationships.  You will learn and hold a strong understanding of our customer needs based on their operational processes and business practices.

While working with the Kurz Inside Sales and Product teams, you will identify new opportunities, negotiate sales agreements and manage projects to ensure goals are met. Communication with customers via face-to-face meeting, phone, email and social media will be required to develop and uphold long lasting relationships, while use of the internal CRM/ ERP platforms will be required to maximize selling wins, efficiencies and processing. Travel 8+ days a month is expected.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and execute sales strategies to meet established quota. Grow Kurz’s exposure, revenue, and gross margin with customers and prospects within the territory.
  • Improve product related sales by becoming a technical resource at key prospects and existing accounts.
  • Actively communicate trends to vendors. Create plans of action together to best promote products.
  • Effective communication with the inside sales team to assist in quoting, processing sales orders and project management for our customers.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and come up with creative solutions.
  • Develop strong supplier/vendor relationships to obtain accurate information regarding availability, shipment, and delivery dates.
  • Identify and close new client opportunities and manage the process.  Use your existing customer network to generate new business through referrals.
  • Effectively use our CRM/ERP platform to communicate with the Kurz team using tasks, events, and opportunities to further new and/or existing business
Competencies
  • High School Diploma is required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred or experience in the Wind Industry as a Site Manager, Lead Tech or Purchasing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Technology savvy with the ability to learn quickly is a must.
  • 3 or more years’ experience in sales and customer service is ideal.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and remotely under guidelines from management.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including client and employee relations.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member in a collaborative fast- paced sales environment.
