The Position:
We are looking for Marketing Planner, Ad Sales to add to our roster. This role plays an integral part in the Diamond Sports Group corporate ad sales team working across our various national advertising partners, ad sales leadership, and local ad sales teams. The Marketing Planner will assist in creating go-to-market strategies, pitches, and support corporate ad sales projects. Reporting to the Director, Ad Sales & Partnership Marketing, this role leads the efforts in building out comprehensive opportunities for all Bally Sports' MLB/NBA/NHL teams as well as other offerings. The development and implementation of these sold partnerships and execution will be crucial to the growth of the ad sales business.

This position will interface and collaborate with multiple levels of sales management, both at the corporate level and at the regional level and serve as the day-to-day contact for our ad sales partnerships in the national marketplace and will work closely with them to ensure revenue growth for Diamond Sports Group and delivery of current partnerships. The successful candidate will be able to drive incremental revenue growth while simultaneously managing national advertising campaigns.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

  • Support the national ad sales team in the development and execution of sponsorship strategies.
  • Liaison with internal Sales, Marketing, Production, and Product partners to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Lead in the creation of proposals for incoming RFPs that meet advertiser and category objectives.
  • Address client needs while highlighting the value and capabilities of the Diamond Sports Group sales strategy.
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with Director, Ad Sales & Partnership Marketing and Sales Leads on management of the creation of proactive marketplace proposals.
  • Complete additional projects as directed by Sales Leadership
  • Communicate regularly with sales partners, agencies, buyers, sales managers, and traffic to support sales activities.
  • Coordinate with local RSN market sales and marketing leads to ensure accurate sponsorship and integration availability and details for local opportunities.
  • Provide account management support for key ad sales relationships directly with sales partners, agencies, or advertisers.
  • Assist in the creation of effective go to market tools for the sales team.
  • Respond to ad hoc sales requests.
  • Develop strong understanding of DSG products and solutions, both locally and nationally, for advertisers, partners, and agencies.

The Stats:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ Years of Experience in Media Sales Planning.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other proprietary software.
  • Strong Microsoft Power Point skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work as a member of a team and individually.
  • Creative development experience preferred.
  • Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.
  • Sports Media/Ad Sales Industry knowledge preferred.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $65,000 - 75,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
