Oversee finance for commercial real estate, private wealth and credit. Primary responsibilities include the development and analysis of strategic initiatives; interpreting and communicating financial results to senior management and front line staff; calculating and forecasting the financial effects of managerial initiatives; maintaining annual budget and on-going financial forecasts for the group; and monitoring and improving the integrity of the financial results in an unbiased manner.
Managerial and supervisory responsibilities include the mentoring, coaching, and development of a team of financial analysts in the delivery of the overall responsibilities of the group. Lastly, direct and participate from time to time in cross-bank, multi-functional teams for various initiatives and be the subject matter expert for all matters relating to Line of Business and Credit's financial statements and condition.
This role will have elevated visibility with executive leadership to provide insight and guidance on current and future financial performance.

Job Accountabilities

  • Develop and analyze strategic initiatives related to business unit structure, portfolio segmentation, staffing, and incentive compensation. Use internal and external data and complex analysis to provide opportunities for value-enhancing strategies and to validate the efficacy of managerial initiatives.
  • Develop, manage, coach, and direct workflow of team of analysts engaged in the operational delivery of financial support to the business units within Line of Business.
  • Report, communicate and interpret actual financial results to senior management and front-line staff.
  • Relationship Profitability Analysis model - assist the business line in interpretation of results and support of inputs.
  • Provide education and interpretation of financial reporting and methodologies as it relates to cost accounting, long-term credit charges, FTP, etc. and how these effect the bottom line results to relationship managers, team leads, and group heads.

Education: Bachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting Required
Experience: More than 15 years Performance of complex financial analysis in the financial services industry. Required
10-12 years Managing financial analysts in a larger financial institution (+20B in assets). Required
