As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you are responsible for aligning human resources strategy and service with business objectives in designated business areas (BAs) and/or functional organizations. In this job, you will serve as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues.

A successful HRBP acts as a strategic partner and operations consultant to the business while facilitating resolutions and responding to emergencies when necessary. You will assess and anticipate HR-related requirements. Balancing the needs of the business with those of the enterprise, HRBPs communicate proactively with internal HR partners (COEs, Shared Services, other HRBPs) and business leaders to develop integrated solutions. The position develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives. The HRBP maintains an effective level of literacy about organizational and business strategy, financial position, culture, and competition.

Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field of study and typically three (3) or more years of relevant work experience; higher level degree may substitute for experience.

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

  • Leadership abilities are inclusive of successful change management, leadership coaching, problem-solving and conflict resolution.

  • Experience conducting investigations and managing employee relations issues.

  • Can operate in ambiguity with some guidance and support


Preferred:

  • Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills, with a client-service orientation and focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Ability tomanage a complex set of stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to operate within constraints, challenge the status quo and collaborate and influence cross-functionally.

  • Excellentprocess delivery, consistently able to deploy services in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Background in HR, management consulting, communications, or support role

  • Masters of Business Administration, HR, or Organizational Leadership

  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures

  • Experience with Workday HR management systems.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$62,660.05 - $93,990.08

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
