Maintenance Specialist- $25.00/hourShift:12 hours Rotating Shift every month, 223 Schedule, 7pm to 7am and 7am to 7pm.

Work as a member of a maintenance team responsible for maintaining the production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds for TC Albany, Georgia facility. Major duties include Conducting and refining on preventive maintenance programs, performing maintenance tasks in support of plant modernization and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and improving equipment availability and reliability. Responsible for meeting safety, production, quality, food safety and performance standards. Lifting to 50 lbs. unaided may be required. Lifting over 50 lbs. requires a team lift. Basic Responsibilities

  • Maintains (as a member of a maintenance team) the production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds for the TC Albany, Georgia facility. That plant comprises 1 W&H Novo flex 10-color flexo press model CL 10; 1 Comexi 10-color flexo press model FPlus; 150-ton Air Make-up unit, 6 x 20-ton rooftop air-conditioning units; 2 Stanford doctor machines; 1 DEACRO doctor machine; 1 Renzmann washer; 2 Kaeser air compressors with drier; 1 Smith Incinerator/Oxidizer; and a solvent tank farm. Completion of work may involve one or more of the following: Maintenance specialist, contracted labor per bid, and/or original equipment (O.E.) manufacturers' technicians. Responsible for maintaining equipment to meet current Business Plan Objectives for press utilization, press speed, production efficiency, waste and down time.

  • Performs varied maintenance duties to include safety inspections, work orders and preventive maintenance to meet established maintenance and operations objectives.

  • Organizes work for smooth, efficient operations. Accurately tracks all time and materials used to perform work orders and other repairs using both manual and electronic means.

  • Transfers waste oil to DOT-approved drums. Responsible for proper labeling, material handling, and storage of the plant's hazardous materials and waste, and regulated materials and waste as well as universal wastes like fluorescent bulbs

  • Maintains TC's high safety standards. Responsible for working safely by following safe work methods.

  • Operates a fork truck. Maintains valid Powered Industrial Vehicle license.

  • Troubleshoots equipment problems and coordinates necessary repairs.

  • Ensures the physical plant, grounds, production machinery and equipment, and utilities are maintained in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations and TC standards.

  • Follows the TC Employee Handbook policies and procedures.

  • Obtains prior approval of the Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance purchases. Follows the established purchasing and receiving procedures.

  • Reports and records downtime of the plant's Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer in accordance with established procedures

  • Cleans the maintenance shop and the utility room.

    Specific Duties

  • Follows daily work assignments.

  • Follows established work routines and workorders.

  • Follows all plant policies and procedures.

  • Follows all plant and department safety rules.

  • Conducts daily inspections of machine performance ensuring barriers are addressed if machines are not running to standard.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) year technical school degree or equivalent experience, documented Journeyman level in at least one of the following crafts: electrician (including PLC experience), millwright (including hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping), or instrumentation and industrial electronics. Working knowledge of presses and flexographic equipment preferred. Practical working knowledge and experience with IBM PC computers and software
