POSITION PURPOSE: Oversee and organize hotel operations from fine dining experiences and private events, to point of sale and bar service. This role will operate under the guidance of Food & Beverage upper management to consistently provide outstanding customer service. Excels in fast-paced and demanding environments through a passion for team leadership and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Communicates with guests and associates using a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understands requests, responds with appropriate actions, and provides accurate information. Remains calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy Hotel activity, serving as a role model for associates.

2. Fields customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions. Makes decisions and takes actions based on previous experience and good judgement.

3. Assures associate adherence to operating standards for standards in compliance with Federal, State, local, and Marcus practices.

4. Attends and participates in Food and Beverage, BEO, safety and Hotel management meetings on a weekly basis.

5. Enforces Hotel safety standards to ensure corporate compliance.

6. Assists Food & Beverage management in training new associates and controlling labor cost by monitoring staffing needs during hours of operation.

7. Assures associate adherence to cleanliness and sanitation best practices, including associate uniform and presentation.

8. Generating shift reports highlighting sales wins/losses and guest interactions. Reports should give emphasis on how the team can better prepare for the following shift.

9. Reporting on the following to be discussed and reviewed with Director of Outlets: staff performance and progress, operational needs, culture components, etc.

10. Performs other duties and handles projects as assigned by the Food & Beverage Management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Flexibility in schedule to open outlets for the day (6:30am) and/or close (12:00am-2:00am) when needed.

2. Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.

3. Knowledge and enforcement of all applicable alcohol and bartender licensing codes.

4. Must possess basic mathematical skills and the ability to use a calculator to prepare moderately complex calculations without error such as determining average covers. Strong familiarization with food and beverage financial systems and controls.

5. Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly.

6. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex system when applicable.

7. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time while touring food and beverage outlets. Ability to sit and perform tasks in an office atmosphere.

8. One year previous bartending experience required. Any hospitality experience helpful.

9. TIPS certification preferred, Bartender's license required.

10. Strong proficiency in Excel required.

11. Bilingual preferred but not required.
