Job Title: IT Governance Analyst
Clearance Required: DHS Public Trust EOD, US Citizen (Secret or above preferred)
Work Location: Arlington, VA & Remote (onsite 2 days a week minimum)

Position Description/Scope of Work:

Alpha Omega is seeking an IT Governance Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients. The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with other teams to review control data and identify improvements in the IT delivery process and controls.
  • Contributes to the creation of dashboards and reports demonstrating control adherence and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with others to deliver complex projects which may involve multiple systems.
  • Continuously thinking about the next steps.
  • Supporting the teams developing solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Recommending technologies and tools that improve the efficiency, quality, and security of OCC's IT systems.
  • Assist in conducting process gap analysis of controls to key regulations, mapping to industry standards and developing continuous compliance monitoring.
  • Advise stakeholders on identified issues and support for regulatory exams and audit engagements.
  • Ensure System Owners are compliant with renewals and contracting process.
  • Serve as liaison to IT, Finance, and Acquisition teams, ensuring that a strong relationship and smooth daily processes are maintained.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience leading FEDERAL IT Governance Management
    • Experience categories:
      • is 3-5 years.
      • Mid is 5-7 years.
      • 7+ years
    • Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.
    • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels.
    • Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to team members.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
    • Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
    • Ability to work across multiple levels of management.
    • Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
    • Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Takes the initiative to research, learn and deliver; anticipates the play.
    • Working knowledge and experience of IT control frameworks and industry standards such as COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), or similar industry-accepted standards and the principles.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in an environment leveraging Agile.
  • Active or recent previous DHS experience HIGHLY desired.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Expertise in supporting transformative initiatives across multiple teams.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience.
