Foth is currently seeking a team-focused and results-oriented Construction Manager who is looking for new opportunities and long-term career growth within our Airport Market. You will be working out of our Columbia, SC location actively participating in construction management, administration, and observation of horizontal and vertical construction projects within an airport environment.
Foth supports both commercial and general aviation clients across the Southeastern and Midwestern US, providing civil engineering and construction solutions for airside and landside projects. Airports are exciting environments with a wide range of engineering and construction needs to support airport operations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform construction management leadership activities which includes coordination of tasks between design staff and construction observers
  • Assist construction observers with training and solving construction technical issues
  • Manage construction schedules
  • Provide assistance with estimating, contracting, and construction throughout the entire project
  • Assist with planning and design activities during low construction activity periods
  • Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with project engineers, contractors, and clients
Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum eight years of experience in the construction field
  • Minimum three years of experience in a construction management role
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proficiency in engineering principles and practices related to the design, construction, and maintenance of public infrastructure
  • Experience in heavy civil, aviation and/or DOT civil construction projects
  • Experience with Federal, state provisions and specifications related to construction and construction administration
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software
