Job Description
Purpose of Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible in assisting the Manager, Accounting and the Divisional Controller with general accounting functions including timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations and gross margins reporting for the selected departments. The Staff Accountant assists with accounts receivable management and collections, coding invoices, new accounts set up as and provides external/internal auditors and tax accountants with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents. The Staff Accountant may assist Client Billing in responding to client financial information and analysis requests and performs other related duties as assigned.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Performs month end general ledger accounting and gross margin reporting, including standard journal entries, accruals, account review, P&L reviews, and activity reporting for management.
  • Timely completion of balance sheet account reconciliations and corresponding supporting documentation.
  • Provides financial support, tax, analysis and metric reporting for Client Accounting and parent company as needed.
  • Interacts with Internal Audit team regarding quarterly balance sheet, Sarbanes Oxley, and various policy testing.
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
