About the Role:

Responsible for building impactful AIML models and generating insights that transform our business. As a thought leader, they should have an intimate knowledge of the pharma/healthcare advanced analytics space and be attuned to where the industry is heading. Leverage cutting edge technologies and analytical methods to help business leaders across the company make appropriate data-driven decisions and optimize activities. Play a key role in identifying opportunities for AIML and will be involved in the full lifecycle from ideation to requirements elicitation, design, implementation, and model rollout / socialization. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to evaluate opportunities and drive growth for our brands. This is a hands-on / individual contributor role where you will be able to immediately leverage your data and software skills in an impactful manner.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Implement and manage AIML models for use cases such as HCP marketing, sales lead generation/targeting, spend optimization, segmentation, referral network analysis, customer churn

  • Continually advance the level of AIML sophistication at Neurocrine, ensuring the use of cutting-edge tools and approaches that drive our business

  • Triage and manage workstreams with offshore and/or vendor resources

  • Create insightful stories/messaging around business challenges that help non-technical colleagues make sense of complex solutions

  • Develop a deep understanding of available data sources, including capture methodologies, business operations, and manage appropriate advanced analytics solutions accordingly

  • Proactively identify business opportunities for data science to solve unmet business needs

  • Foster a collaborative, positive and intellectually curious environment that encourages democratization of Commercial Analytics capabilities

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree and 8+ years of a combination of secondary analytics, primary market research, and/or competitive intelligence experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Experience within the CNS therapeutic area, launch experience, and managed markets experience preferred OR

  • Master's degree preferred and 6+ years of similar experience noted above OR

  • PhD and 4+ years of similar experience noted above

  • Proven experience with the AIML technology stack, (Python, Snowflake, Databricks, various libraries, etc.) and other development and distributed computing platforms

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); proven ability to work cross functionally and liaise across stakeholders with a variety of non-technical backgrounds

  • Working knowledge of the various methodologies of collecting and analyzing secondary data, primary market research, and competitive intelligence

  • Track record of innovating through machine learning and statistical algorithms and their

  • Working experience with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including IQVIA / Symphony / Komodo anonymized patient-level data, detailing, shipment, and other related datasets

  • Business knowledge of pharmaceutical sales, marketing and access/reimbursement with the ability to identify market drivers, trends, issues, etc.

  • Drives workstreams on highly complex issues or business / scientific problems

  • Considered an expert within the company and may have external presence in area of expertise

  • Uses critical thinking, analytical thought and judgment to plan, implement solutions resulting in broad impact

  • Applies in-depth understanding and may guide others on how own discipline integrates within the department as well as impact to other departments and understands contribution to Neurocrine's achievement of business objectives

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring skills and abilities typically leads junior and/or indirect teams

  • Excellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills

  • Independently meets multiple deadlines across a variety of projects/programs, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

  • Excellent organizational skills and expertise managing multiple, large projects simultaneously

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $151,800.00-$220,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
