Job Description
Duration: 6+ months
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st shift.
Pay Rate: $20.00/Hour to $25.00/Hour On W2

Job Designation:
  • The Test Technician completes work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
  • Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation.
  • Perform a variety of test to verify circuitry and to test effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
  • Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verifying check.
  • Perform test and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters and other related test equipment.
  • Sets up test equipment and tests per specification.
  • Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level.
  • Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Education:
  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications:
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in related field.

Years’ Experience:
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience
Required Skills:
  • Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
  • Strong knowledge in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
  • Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions.
  • Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications
Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements:
  • Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment.
  • Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend or stoop.
  • May have possible exposure to dust, may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 25 pounds 25% of the time and may require repetitive motions, pushing, pulling, and grasping with hands 25% - 75%.
