About the Role:

The Data Governance Analyst Specialist - MDM will own the analysis of Master Data and identifying trends and patterns that can be used to improve business process and decision making. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and technology to define roles and responsibilities, policies, controls, and instructional programs to ensure master data is owned, accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, evolve, and scale the MDM governance framework including managing the relevant objectives, approach, processes, policies, technology, and procedures.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on MDM best practices and help the organization to implement MDM solutions

  • Build processes to refine match/merge rules, ensure accuracy and completeness, and maintain governance of MDM data and tools

  • Partner with data stewards and business SMEs to build MDM standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Perform root cause analysis on data assets based on scorecard and metrics

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality at the source

  • Work with stakeholders at various level to assist with data quality resolutions

  • Collaborate with ETL teams and guide them on data governance standards and policies

  • Clearly define KPIs, governed data elements and business/technical owners for accountability

  • Partner with technical teams to develop data scorecards and dashboards within the Informatica MDM Tool Suite

  • Maintain the MDM wiki and any workflows, playbooks, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.

  • Conduct training, lunch & learns, and stakeholder demos of MDM processes and tools

  • Develop content for internal Worldpay MDM training on WeLearn

  • Perform adhoc master data requests

  • Manage the translation of business needs/requirements to the technical teams

  • Participate in MDM UAT testing

  • Adhere to Data Governance policies and processes

  • Support prioritized strategic data initiative engagements

What you bring:

Bachelor's degree in Data Architecture, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

  • Multiple years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance. Must have hands-on operational experience working with data stewards and product owners.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the technical teams.

  • Experience being a Data Analyst and a strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile/SAFe methodologies.

  • Strong SQL skills; Snowflake experience is highly desired.

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica C360 toolset.

  • Process improvement experience, i.e., Six Sigma Certification.

  • Strong leadership, partnership, and communication skills, tailored to the audience's level of knowledge.

  • Experience with enterprise metadata, reference data and data quality.

  • Excellent influencing and consultative skills, including business and technology interactions.

  • Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as, Informatica and Collibra.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
