Job Description

Job Summary:

Perform a wide variety of duties to support machine operations and the maintenance department. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate parts and maintenance supplies inventory level while coordinating with appropriate teams for replenishment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems.
  • Assemble, disassemble and troubleshoot tooling.
  • Responsible for maintaining toolkits in all cells of operation.
  • Responsible for data entry in SAP/JIT Card database updates for spare parts.
  • Communicates with maintenance team regarding part requests.
  • Assist with data entry for work orders for the maintenance team.
  • Ensures integrity of SAP database with correct part counts and supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ensuring materials are available in cells.
  • Inspects tools and equipment for defects or wear and reports concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Maintains constant contact with production personnel, supervisors and engineers to obtain the sustainment of tools and spare parts.
  • Perform and assist with the required preventive maintenance (PM) work.
  • Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures, along with performing safety guard audits on machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company standards and 5S program.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist in 5s audits of maintenance department.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • High School/GED and 2 years of work experience or 4 years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and work experience in Data Entry.
  • Strong computer skills with database usage required.
  • 2 or more years of inventory management required.
  • Quality planning skills and ability to work with other departments necessary.
  • Proficient with the use of adjustable measuring devices, rules, scales, gages and fixtures
  • Basic knowledge of tool room equipment
  • Ability to identify, solve problems, and multi-task under deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivational, enthusiastic, and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to perform as a team player.
