Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a Community Leader to join our team. In this role, you will set and oversee execution of SITKA community engagement strategy. This work will ensure activation and engagement of the SITKA community through activation events, ambassador and guide relationships and support of the SITKA Grants Program.

This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a holistic community marketing program that drives brand awareness and financial results while strengthening SITKA's connection to the endemic community of hunters and fishermen through NGO relationships, guides, outfitters, content creators, ambassadors and experiential event activations
  • Oversee a team of specialists who will support forecasting, budget, strategy, planning and execution while being directly responsible for planning and executing against a community marketing budget with associated performance KPIs
  • Strategically create a diverse, broad network of affiliate guides and outfitters willing to operate thru established affiliate marketing and sales channels
  • Generate, maintain, and deepen relationships with the best guides and outfitters in the hunting and fishing industries with a focus on profitability, mutually beneficial relationships,YoY enrollment growth and revenue targets
  • Curate and execute an industry-specific affiliate program through a network of approved publishers, brand ambassadors, guides and outfitters, and brand partners
  • Manage a team of existing ambassadors and content creators, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship with SITKA, while continually feeding the content pipeline, driving direct revenue, and collecting insights about existing and future products
  • Identify and establish new ambassador relationships in support of the business's overall objectives and new category roadmaps
  • Oversee the successful execution of SITKA's industry leading grants program while maintaining established relationships with national NGOs
  • Develop seasonal event strategies with existing brand partners and the SITKA retail marketing & operations team, in support of overall business objectives, while prioritizing regional market awareness
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the hunting and fishing industry, the consumer mindset,cultural and environmental impacts to seasonal trends and consumer participation to serve as an internal voice of the consumer

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in community/sports marketing
  • A minimum of 5 years with a +$200M premium consumer brand
  • Experience developing a holistic community marketing program that drives brand awareness and financial results
  • Experience leading grants and/or donations programs
  • Experience KPI setting, tracking, and dashboard creation with the ability to extract insights from data and KPIs related to community/sports marketing
  • A passion for the SITKA brand and the ability to comprehensively understand relevant industries, consumer mindsets, and seasonal trends
  • Ability to build and manage a team of new and existing ambassadors and content creators, while continually feeding the content pipeline, driving direct revenue, and consumer insights
  • Ability to develop and lead seasonal event strategies in support of overall business objectives
  • Ability to travel over 50%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Experience in marketing with a Fortune 500 multi-channel brand
