Overview
The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) Program Assistant (Program Assistant III) will assist with the management of the One Utah Service Fellowship Program and AmeriCorps grant. This position works under the direction of the OUSF Program Director. This will be an in-office position with a hybrid option available after 120 days of employment. Periodic travel to host partner sites is required. This is a permanent position that is contingent on continued grant and state appropriated funding.

The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) project aims to address Utah's critical needs while improving the preparation for and prospects of success in post-secondary education or training for young adults (18+) by providing meaningful service opportunities (100-1,700 hours) in Healthy Futures, Education, and Capacity Building.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.


Responsibilities
Responsibility Number: 1 Rank: 1 Percent: 40%
Assists OUSF Director in administration of other facets of the OUSF Program and AmeriCorps grant.
  • Maintain office filing system used for AmeriCorps/Fellowship member files
  • Designs and maintains processes and procedures, including member orientation, training, and member development.
  • Respond to regional program coordinators, site supervisors, and members' general emails in the OUSF email.
  • Complies, sorts, and organizes data for entry into a database, distributes program information, and conducts program research.
  • Provide support and assistance, as needed, to the OUSF Director.

Responsibility Number: 2 Rank: 2 Percent: 40%
Manage all aspects of AmeriCorps member NSCHC Checks for the UHEAN program's 800+ members.
  • Manage and arrange to pay vendors for members scheduling fingerprints.
  • Track all fingerprints scan to workflow.
  • Log names/dates/location member's fingerprints and document in IPT or temp file until their IPT account is created.
  • Verify members' background check by accessing BCI/ABC and verifying the Utah Applicant Background Check Record. Then uploading the document in the member's IPT account.
  • All background checks must be done on current and exited members in order to stay compliant with the grant.

Responsibility Number: 3 Rank: 3 Percent: 20%
Assists OUSF Director in the continuous improvement, sustainability, and planning of the program.
  • Writes and/or assists with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
  • May maintain and create content for program website.
  • Writes, edits, and coordinates development of promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
  • Conducts research, compiles data, and prepares papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and directors
  • Assists with program planning and implementation.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of AmeriCorps member program management preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • National Service Alum
