Summary of Job Duties:The Extra Help Assistant is responsible for providing unskilled, semi-skilled labor or performing basic office tasks in a state agency or institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Extra Help Assistant Circulation Worker positions are part-time, non-benefits-eligible positions within the William H. Bowen Law Library responsible for providing circulation services at the Circulation Desk in the Law Library.Qualifications:

Required Education or Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Duties:

  • Shelf reading and maintenance ;
  • Shelving materials;
  • Checking materials in and out;
  • Answering in-person and over-the-phone questions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer service skills;
  • Written and oral communication skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace;
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform detailed work;
  • Aptitude for learning technology;
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment;
  • Ability to reach, stoop, and bend for retrieval of items.
