Job Summary

The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting elements of external marketing, including working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create content for distribution. Responsibilities also include managing content on external websites, mass email distribution, and researching industry trends. This position works closely with Business Development, Operations, and other Matrix departments and employees.

Essential Functions
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Develops original content about our business, services, and markets we serve to provide potential clients a clear understanding of the work we do.
  • Works with internal SMEs to proactively develop and ensure timely distribution of digital content.
  • Tracks top competitors/peers to understand their messaging regarding services they offer and determines how other website content may impact our own website verbiage.
  • Researches and stays up to date on content trends.
  • Maintains website content.
  • Manages brands implementation/quality control, working with internal and external partners to ensure quality control and consistency on external branding elements.
  • Supports trade shows while providing corporate marketing leadership.
  • Maintains a solid understanding of the Matrix business, services, and markets we serve.
  • Performs additional responsibilities, as directed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related area; or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years' marketing, advertising, journalism, or public relations experience.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.
  • Some HTML/CSS knowledge preferred.
  • Mass email experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet search engines for conducting research required.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and changing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills required.
  • Up to 15% travel.
