Overview

The role of the Wealth Retirement Plan Services Operations Analyst is to participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives associated with operational aspects of Wealth Management. Participation in these key initiatives will be paramount to enhancing the client experience. The primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive support to the Wealth RPS Relationship Managers, Wealth RPS Account Managers, Wealth RPS Sales Officers, Wealth RPS Education Specialist along with RPS Clients and their participants in the day to day service activities of account relationships. Responsible for quarterbacking both internal and external client responses. The position is also responsible for delivering a high degree of business professionalism as a contact for RPS Team, clients, and participants, responding to routine and complex business, plan, and service questions. Additionally, the position also supports the needs of the business in managing daily tasks and workflow, proactively managing annual plan administration activities, assisting with sales and business development activities, and assigned projects.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Core business understanding of Wealth RPS business and services to proactively support the Wealth RPS Relationship Managers, Wealth RPS Account Managers, clients, and their participants throughout the processes of client conversion, maintenance, and communication.
  • Working as the JFG Coordinator for New Business Conversions. Actively engaged in the client on-boarding conversion process through document completion, custodial and recordkeeping system set up. Responsible for accurately opening and closing of accounts within Wealth RPS operating systems and maintains account characteristics on Wealth RPS operating systems.
  • Will work closely with Sales Officer and Plan Sponsors on plan conversions, design, amendments, and administration of qualified employee retirement plans.
  • On-going maintenance and knowledgeable support of plan sponsor and participant websites, as well as the Call Center support, working to enhance the client experience.
  • Primary responsibility is to support Accounting systems and Recordkeeping applications. Acting as resource to internal and external clients in supporting a "white label" outsourcing environment.
  • Under minimal supervision, provide complex and confidential support services.
  • Independently handle a wide variety of situations and assignments that are non-routine.
  • Must be able to support web-based payroll submission, provide client support/troubleshooting, and assist in payroll integration set up as needed.
  • Serves as a day to day contact and consultant to RPS clients and participants (as a secondary point of contact beyond the call center) on plan matters and questions. Researches and assists in resolving client inquiries and issues through to resolution involving plan document provisions, impact of regulatory requirements on plan operations; displays initiative to problem solve and escalate when appropriate, ability to work independently.
  • Will compose correspondence, prepare reports, and participate in special projects as directed, including providing direction to vendor regrading report building and data collection.
  • Prepares and composes sales presentations, client fiduciary and service reviews, and participant communication materials under the direction of the Sales Officer and/or Wealth RPS Relationship Managers.
  • Provide Quality Assurance check on Plan Compliance Testing for clients to testing is completed timely and properly.
  • Manage JFG Fee in conjunction with the vendor. Critical to have on-going evaluation of fees generated to ensure regulatory required Plan Sponsor Fee Disclosures and Participant Investment & Fee Disclosures are delivered timely and accurately.
  • Manages annual and ad hoc plan administration workflows (annual census and testing cycle, Form 5500 filing, external audit support, fund changes, plan amendments, Notice requirements, etc.)
  • Support 5500 Audit requirements and provide 3(16) 5500 Review and electronic submission.
  • Responsible for preparing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting within established timelines.
  • Key liaison within department providing user support on applications and operating systems.
  • Plan and implement application updates and upgrades as necessary. Providing support in communication mapping for system enhancements.
  • Responsible for regulatory filings as assigned. Must stay informed on regulator changes/updates and put into practice within established timeframes.
  • Assist is writing, interpreting, and implementing department procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance information systems or relevant area preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of seven years experience in retirement plan services or payroll operations or other financial services, information systems or related fields. Knowledge of regulations and laws for these areas is crucial.
  • Position requires strong analytical, project management, technical and financial skills. Experience in data base management and wealth accounting platforms is required.
  • Proven leadership and training skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels and develop rapport and relationships across the enterprise and with our vendor partners.
  • Understanding and strong working knowledge of MS Office products; ability to effectively utilize Bank and Wealth Operating Systems.
