First shift: Monday- Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Split Shift: Monday - Thursday 12:30 PM -11:00 PM (Includes 10% Shift Premium).

Second Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (Includes 10% Shift Premium).

Third Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Includes 10% Shift Premium).

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs semi-automatic/automatic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) operations on a line of standard and repetitive parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works from sketches, routings, and process control sheets to understand dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Dimensional and alignment requirements are liberal or controlled by fixtures.
  • Performs semi-automatic/automatic GTAW operations on similar and dissimilar metals, usually in flat position requiring limited technique and basic welding fundamentals.
  • Certifies to groove weld on 0.032 thick Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, and Cobalt Alloy material (17-4PH, Inconel 718, Haynes 188) per AWS D17.1 Class A.
  • Completes sheet metal grinding, forming, and fitting operations as needed.
  • Visually inspects all weldments; identifies potential indications; and sufficiently repairs and reports defects.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with welding symbols, terms, and definitions per AWS A2.4 and AWS A3.0.
  • In coordination with Maintenance Department, performs preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Proceeds under direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Quality System work instruction requirements that govern GTAW operations.
  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
  • Supports and complies with safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Meets attendance policy requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with minimum of six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read English and understand sketches, routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Requires ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
