HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The School of Public Health - Health Policy & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator, who will work on two federally funded clinical trials focused on promoting smoking cessation and smoke-free homes among diverse and underserved populations. Primary responsibilities include conducting data collection with participants, coordinating the team schedule, and assisting with data management and preparation of reports, presentations, and papers. Content areas include nicotine dependence, smoking cessation, and secondhand smoke exposure; health disparities research; mindfulness meditation, digital health technology; and prevention of child abuse and neglect. The successful candidate will work with research teams in the Georgia State University School of Public Health including faculty, research staff, and doctoral, masters, and undergraduate students, providing an environment rich in intellectual stimulation and mentorship.

* Conduct data collection for two federally funded clinical trials focused on promoting smoking cessation and smoke-free homes among diverse and underserved populations.

* Conduct qualitative interviews, survey assessments, and biochemical assessments. (e.g., saliva samples and expired carbon monoxide)

* Manage team schedule, including participant enrollment and assessment sessions.

* Coordinate student research assistant schedules in carrying out study tasks.

* Assist with data management (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, Excel, SPSS)

* Perform basic statistical analysis.

* Assist with and/or lead the preparation of conference submissions and scientific manuscripts.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Salary : $48,000 - $52,000
Pay Grade: 15
