- Responsible for repairing damaged bodies of vehicles and or parts in accordance with factory specifications.
- Prepare and repair vehicle per estimate according to manufacturer standards.
- Repair vehicle with attention to detail.
- Work as a team player to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles.
- Meet our Collision Center’s requirement for productivity.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations with hazardous waste disposal.
- Positive attitude and fix it right the first time.
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders and wrenches, and install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment.
- Follow supervisors’ instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take.
- Inspect repaired vehicles for dimensional accuracy and test drive to ensure proper alignment and handling.
Qualifications
- I-Car preferred but not needed. Must be willing to continue learning thru GM and I-Car training.
- Must hold valid driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).
