Summary

Product Engineer manages existing programs and implementation of new programs within the Pace manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for making sure all projects stay on schedule and compliant to company and customer requirements. The Product Engineer assigns tasks and works with the different team members within the manufacturing facility to complete all new product implementation items. The Product Engineer also works in partnership with the Pace corporate Program Managers to support successful new product launches.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

(but not limited to...)

  • Coordinate new product launches.
  • Manage and direct team personnel to complete desired goals.
  • Manage timelines, assignments, and schedules for timely completion of project goals and tasks and report back to Engineering Manager.
  • Support customer product validation testing.
  • Support customer visits as needed, relative to audits, assessments, design review, & new customer visits.
  • Development & active management of product related CapEx projects.
  • Ongoing active risk management & risk mitigation for assigned products.
  • Work closely with peers to ensure customer satisfaction & problem resolution.
  • Assists in resolving project issues as needed.
  • Confirm production tooling and gauging requirements and track design/build progress.
  • Embrace a Kaizen mindset relative to product development & launch. Continually search for means to improve performance & customer satisfaction.
  • Work with tool shops and Pace team members to design robust tools. Coordinate design reviews.
  • In-plant leadership of assigned projects from tooling delivery through SOP.
  • Occasionally involved with assisting in manufacturing planning & costing of new business opportunities.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Occasional travel required: customer visits, tool shops & Pace plants.
