Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL facility & FROEDTERT WEST BEND HOSPITIAL facility.

Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule Details: Flexible hours, must be able to meet expectations of meetings throughout the month. Requires one RN shift every month in both Emergency Departments.

Job Summary:

The EMS Liaison serves as the designated hospital site contact between Froedtert Health staff, physicians and EMS / Community health care partners. EMS Liaisons enhance communication, identify educational opportunities, participate in community engagement, complete EMS QA/QI and are involved in various other EMS related topics. The EMS Liaison works collaboratively with hospital site leadership and staff to build and maintain relationships with EMS / Community health care partners and serves as a resource on EMS related topics. The EMS Liaison will work in the RN role at a minimum of one shift every month at both CHD Emergency Department sites to facilitate a working knowledge of both EMS and hospital site processes and topics.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

  • A minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing or EMS experience is required. 3 yeasr of Emergency Room nursing or EMS experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

  • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as Registered Nurse is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

  • Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required before competing orientation.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within one year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nurse course certification (TNCC) are required within one year of hire.
