Position Overview
St. Jude is actively seeking a strong candidate for our Manager - Transport Services (Manager or Senior Manager level). This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the institutional transport systems, including wired and wireless networks, network services, and associated infrastructure. This position oversees network performance and availability, 24 x 7 operational support, infrastructure management along with upgrades, recovery, infrastructure security, and customer service. Leads a team responsible for the configuration, security, deployment, administration, monitoring, health and support of network services on St. Jude's local campus, affiliate locations and disaster recovery centers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects/teams including creation and management of project plans in alignment with overall program goals.
  • Monitor and manage the coordination of activities within a team, implement policies and execute plans.
  • Proactively anticipate and understand concerns/issues delays in the project and develop risk assessment and contingency plans.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment between multiple teams.
  • Ensure all projects and tasks are executed within predefined timelines and budgets in compliance with all applicable standards & regulations.
  • Mentor and guide team members and ensure they have all the resources required, to complete their assigned tasks.
  • Engage in hiring, performance management, and other people processes.

Manager - Transport Services

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science, or related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of IT experience including experience managing at least 1-2 people preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading projects/processes end to end including resource and vendor management, and communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Senior Manager - Transport Services

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum requirement: Eight (8) progressive years of IT experience with experience managing small/mid-size teams.
  • Experience leading complex projects/delivery in terms of resources, vendors and budgets.
  • Experience managing teams in a supervisory/ leadership capacity.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Manager - Transport Services (Manager or Senior Manager Level).
