Practice Manager, Surgical Services

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Practice Manager, Surgical Services

  • Location: Vernon Hills, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-time

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, in addition to some weekends as needed

  • Travel: travel to other Medical Group locations in Lake and Cook county will be required.

What you will do:

  • Provide practice management in support of the physician patient relationship in order to optimize patient access to NorthShore services

  • Manage the practice operations and respond to patient, physician, and employee issues in a timely fashion

  • Leverage technological enhancements to optimize patient access to NorthShore services and to enhance the overall customer relationship

  • Achieve performance standards for revenue cycle, analyze monthly physician income and expenses, manage office expenses, and partner with physician leaders to communicate financial results to physicians and staff and execute Medical Group plans for improvements

  • Ensure People Management Cycle for physician and staff is consistently implemented to include hiring for fit, successful onboarding, career development and coaching, and performance review

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Master's degree in business or a healthcare related discipline preferred

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of three years of healthcare management experience

    • Managed in a physician lead office (physician management)

    • Financial management, operations management, and Electronic Medical Record experience preferred

  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to build alliances, drive results and manage change
