Position: Member Services Representative (MSR)

Department: Credit Union

Immediate Supervisor: Amy Searfoss - Branch Teller Supervisor (Credit Union)

Level: Non-exempt Level 8

Normal Progression: Applicant is hired at Level 8 and may progress annually to Level 10 and 12 upon sufficient experience, knowledge, and workload.

Education: High School Diploma required. One year of bank teller experience or equivalent is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities: The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the entry-level position in the credit union. The MSR handles various financial and clerical duties in the credit union main office or in a branch office. Primary duties are those related to the teller function and the telephone or call center function. The teller function requires the receipt and disbursement of cash and checks to credit union members. Tellers also handle various account inquiries, assist members with various loan and other forms. At the Napoleon location, MSRs may also review and post loans, assist with payroll deduction request, assist with virtual branch questions, and open/close accounts.

MSRs performing call center functions assist credit union members with telephone requests and route telephone calls to the appropriate credit union staff members.

Excellent people skills are required since the MSR is often the member's only human contact with the credit union. The position requires proficiency with the credit union's in-house computer system, calculator, fax and photocopier. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.

The MSR will cross-sell the various credit union services to the members and therefore must be knowledgeable of all credit union products and services. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: filing, scanning, stuffing envelopes and mailing.




Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$33,200.00 - $49,600.00

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
