Full Time Physical Therapist Assistance (LPTA)

NovaCare Columbia (CMR) is a unique outpatient center with a 50/50 split of orthopedics and neuro. We have a large multidisciplinary OP team seeking a FULL TIME licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. We offer a variety of specialty services to include; vestibular, concussion, prosthetics & orthotics, sports medicine, amputee, oncology (ReVital), lymphedema, pelvic health, Post Offer Employment Testing (POETs), hand therapy, dry needling, fall prevention and ACL program with LSVT BIG and TMD on top of general ortho and neuro.

An ideal physical therapist assistant (PTA) has previous experience in OP ortho, but it is not required to be considered. We are able to provide a mentorship for a new graduate PTA who has an interest in treating a neuro population within a cohesive, tenured clinical team! This is a full time 40 hour position treating weekdays which will include two days treating 1130A-800P with your last patient scheduled an hour prior. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Schedule: 40 hour Monday - Friday with two days treating 1130A-800P

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
