Position Overview:

  • Title: Public Safety Officer
  • Location: MCW Main Campus. Milwaukee, WI

Role Description: As a Public Safety Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and security of the MCW community and its partners. This community-oriented role requires dynamic individuals who excel in customer service and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive patrols by foot, bike, or vehicle to ensure campus safety.
  • Respond promptly to calls involving medical emergencies, safety escorts, theft reports, vehicle assistance, and more.
  • Write detailed incident reports and manage situations involving threats or emergencies.
  • Engage in a variety of security operations including executive protection details and special events security.
  • Provide safety and security training and awareness to the community.

Preferred Schedule:
3rd Shift; 5-2 Schedule Roation - Weekend Shifts Required


Position Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent educational experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in security, law enforcement, or military.
  • Certifications: Valid motor vehicle operator's license, WI Carry Concealed License (within 3 months of hire), BLS Provider, and AED certification preferred.
  • Age: Must be 21 years or older at the time of hire.

  • Excellent communication skills and diligence in safety practices.
  • Dependability in fulfilling duties independently and punctually.
