Your role and responsibilities

Enhance support for employees: Provide comprehensive HRBP support for all employees, ensuring a seamless experience in areas such as employee relations, compliance guidance, recruitment assistance for open positions and proactive performance management strategies
Deployment of HR strategy and initiatives: Collaborate with divisional and country HR teams to ensure the effective deployment of HR strategies and initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, aligning them with the division's goals and objectives
Developmental training and opportunities: Contribute to the development and delivery of developmental training programs and opportunities for both site leadership and employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the division. Special attention to local talent development programs for the future of the business
HR support responsibilities: Serve as a partner to the HR support specialist in support of various aspects of HR operations including policy development and interpretation, benefits administration, employee relations and recruiting primarily for exempt positions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Engagement survey coordination: Support the local division leader in reviewing and coordinating manager actions based on the annual engagement survey results, facilitating meaningful actions to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
Performance and compensation management: Lead the coordination of the performance, salary and incentive review process for the division, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure fairness, transparency and alignment with organizational objectives
Health and safety collaboration: Collaborate with the health and safety function to coordinate programs, metrics, training initiatives and other activities aimed at continuously improving the division's safety program, prioritizing the well being and safety of employees

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors of Arts/Bachelors of Science (BA/BS) degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study with minimum 10 years of experience in human resources required
  • Experience in managing a union site, a manufacturing environment and supporting mergers and acquisitions is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
