Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Supervisor, Insurance
  • Location: 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

What you will do:

  • Assist Manager to recruit, interview and hire candidate for open positions
  • Conduct employee performance with Manager and achievement of goals
  • Supervise staff of Insurance AR 1 and 11 to perform initial collection activities and resolve denied claims for hospital accounts
  • Monitor staff performance for compliance with unit's productivity and quality standard
  • Facilitate communication session with staff
  • Identify trended issues/requests from payors via an escalation log
  • Monitor and report unit backlogs
  • Working project as assigned

What you will need:

  • Education: Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent required. Two years post high school or associates degree required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hospital business office experience. Minimum of 3 years of specialty experience required. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with demonstrated success.
  • Skills: Excellent communication/customer service skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to work well with diverse group of internal staff. Demonstrated ability to effectively develop others and make positive intervention in performance and behavior related problems. Above average analytical, problem solving and management skills, Knowledge of complete revenue cycle.
