As a Financial Analyst Senior your goal is to support the corporate finance department through leading and performing complex accounting and finance functions such as: reporting, month-end closing, analysis of operations, and other analysis process-related activities.

You will do this by:

  • Preparing complex reports daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to sales, inventory, production, raw material purchasing and cost of quality.
  • Performing financial analysis and communicating findings to enable management to make informed business decisions and take action.
  • Understands and internally promotes the relationship of accurate nancial planning to our overall nancial results
  • Develops and uses analytical tools to monitor and lead improvements in forecasting accuracy. Analyzes actual to budget trends in nancial statements and key company drivers and trends on a monthly basis, including the isolation of factors contributing to negative and positive trends, in order to revise forecast processes and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Develops timely tools and metrics to enable management to make informed business decisions and take action.
  • Analyzes the impact of pricing, volume, mix and foreign currency on sales and gross margins.
  • Performing and leading month-end closing of varying complexity which includes: calculating accrual/reserve balances and discussing calculations with management for subjective nature accounts to arrive at decision; analyzing general ledger account data for accuracy and adjusting accounts if necessary; booking various other journal entries and statistical key figures.
  • Reviewing variance account posting for accuracy throughout the month and correcting system transactions.
  • Reviewing detail of accounts and following-up on month-end closing items when necessary.
  • Preparing account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Working with external auditors quarterly and at year-end; including providing audit work papers as well as requested supporting documentation, walking auditors through calculations and providing data for various other detailed testing

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of accounting/finance experience
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Prior manufacturing industry experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with all business units on setting expectations and monitoring progress; must be able to communicate effectively with peers and superiors within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills, decision making and organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with a strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong computer literacy, especially experience with nancial software systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • High ability to identify, measure, evaluate & improve, if necessary, the effectiveness of accounting, financial, managerial and operational controls
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface with all levels
