Position Overview:

A best-in-class electrical contractor is searching for a Business Analyst to help guide our organization into the future. This position will help the organization operate more efficiently by identifying organization improvements, designing systems to implement them, and train others to use the systems.

Base Location/Travel Requirements:

IB Abel is based in York, PA. This position has the flexibility to work from any office and from home or remote locations when appropriate.


Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's systems and applications efficiently.
  • Learn functional data and reporting of the major operational systems.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams across business units to develop necessary analysis and documentation collaboratively.
  • Identify needs to create or redesign system processes to streamline and consider best practices.
  • Define what the output of the system or application is to produce based on users' tasks.
  • Design, configure, test, and deliver system processes and workflow enhancements to optimize overall performance, and establish key performance indicators.
  • Oversee software implementation and training.
  • Work with the related systems vendors and professional services to implement new systems, enhancements, and upgrades, and provide overall business system support and troubleshooting including security, accounts, and permissions.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely updates, reporting, and maintenance of IT-managed business systems.
  • Perform tests on new applications to check for functionality.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines related to the configuration of company systems settings and workflows.
  • Respond to challenges with systems and applications reported by employees.
  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and repair system issues.
  • Serve as the thought leader for technical business processes.
  • Develop changes in systems to help maximize user productivity and respond to changing organization needs.


Education, Skills, Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or related field.
  • MUST be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity, Power BI experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management with a strong understanding of project management methodologies

Desired:

  • Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management.
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions.
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of MS Project or Azure DevOps.
  • Agile Development Board management experience.
  • Experience with Data Analytics/Business Intelligence
  • PMP Certification
