Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Analyst to ensure systems meet end user requirements for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
    Apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
  • Perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
  • Consult with customers to identify and recommending requirements.
  • Recommend overall functional and systems requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct business process reengineering.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses.
  • Prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions.
  • Recommend systems scope and objectives.
  • Develop cost estimates for new or modified systems.
  • Ensure the integration of all systems components; e.g., procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware.
  • Plan systems implementation; and/or ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the systems analysis process.
Qualifications

15+ years experience in systems analysis including at least 5 years supporting DoD programs. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Extensive experience gathering and documenting business requirements. Experience with business and system analysis. Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and have an understanding of large-scale system development. Able to adapt to the customer environment and develop an understanding of the business. Able to analyze complex inputs and translate data into well-defined system requirements. Comfortable interacting heavily with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. Familiar with MS Project for developing schedules and plans. Attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn are paramount. Experience developing project schedules, project plans, and work breakdown structures. Exposure to project management preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
